The process should be the same The first pop up box you get should be the one letting you select drives or an image. You said you can burn Data and MP3 discs.
If you don't see one listed then your only choice will be to save an image and then burn that to a disc. You should see your drive(s) listed so you can choose which one to use. In your first pic I don't see any optical drives listed above "Save Disc Image file". Again, the files I am adding to the project are WAV files from my PC. What's driving me crazy is that I can create Mp3 Discs, but I cannot create WAV discs. I have tried saving the disc image file, bringing up a new instance of Roxio Music Disc Creator, and then adding the project and tried to burn it to a CD-R, and I run into the same set of problems. Now if I go back and hit burn again, unclick "Save Disc Image File," it totally erases the OK button which is what I need to click on to start the burning process (see attachment 4). It just produces the third attachment (what appears to be an image).

If I select the OK button, my PC acts like it is burning a CD, but it doesn't. After I choose Burn, the first attachment and second attachment appear. I go to Roxio Music Disc Creator, and then I add my WAV files to my project.

K3b has many more features though and is certainly the best equipped cd/ dvd burning software available. Both dont need addditional packages to run and are very user friendly for beginners. I use Xfburn and Handbrake (for copying dvd's). Xfburn is in my opinion the easiest to use cd/dvd burner program for newbies who dont want any hassle with installing additional packages. Type "Xfburn" in the search field of "Software Management" and when "Xfburn" is found, select it and type in your password. This will automatically show you the "Software Management" icon to click on. How to download software via "Software Management":ĭirectly start typing the word "Software Management". "Software Management" can be a more user friendly way for new Linux users to download software compared to the other alternative way of downloading the same software via "Synaptic Package Management".
